They take up what little inventory space we have, and eventually they'd add up, even for 1g per arrow.
It was balanced by the fact that rangers were very powerful but required less other upkeep items. GW doesnt have the notion of potions or other consumables, therefore it will be unfair for rangers to buy arrows, preps and traps.

At least you saw it coming.

Not only would limited arrows make all rangers have to grind for the ability to simply use their weapon, varying arrows and their effectiveness would cause rangers to have to grind even more just to be at the top of their game by using the best equipment. You might as well ask for a level cap raise. It wouldn't be so bad if you could, for instance, get a "vampiric quiver" or something like that. But actually having to collect limited arrows of this type? No. Just no.

Thats a cool idea but u shud maek it liyke so ur staffs need batteries and u can choose which kind like duracell or energizer lol and scroo teh old staf mods tehr teh sux.

Getting rid of bow mods would be a HORRIBLE idea. Not only that... youd run out of your uber arrow and youd need to buy a new set of arrows with the same expemsive mod. What happens if you run out in a mission?

Bad idea.
I just had this amazing mental image of a monk going to attack, his staff exploding, and the team turning to see a pair of smoking sandals. hehe

<sorry for offtopic>

No need for arrow mods as they are already implemented in the game. Poison Arrows, Kindle Arrows, Ignite Arrows, Splinter Arrows, Bleeding Arows, Cripple Arrows; all-you-can-eat, just use your skills.
